We need an experienced Bilingual Paralegal to join our team and work directly with the owner to support the team and help our clients.
Your Impact:
As a Virtual Bilingual Criminal Law Paralegal on our team, your role will be integral in supporting our mission:
– You’ll support our attorneys in a range of tasks, with a focus on criminal law cases that often touch the lives of immigrants and those in delicate legal situations.
– Your bilingual skills (Spanish and English) will be crucial in bridging the communication gap with our diverse client base, ensuring they feel heard and understood.
– Your expertise in legal research, document preparation, and case management will directly contribute to our goal of offering top-tier legal services.
– Your knowledge of Texas law, particularly as it pertains to our target demographic, will be invaluable in effectively managing cases and supporting our clients.
What We’re Looking For:
– 3-5 years of experience in a criminal law firm or prosecutor’s office.
– Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
– Familiarity with e-filing systems in all Texas jurisdictions, Federal Court, and Circuit Court of Appeals.
– Familiarity with Texas and federal court local rules. Familiarity with Texas and the federal code of criminal procedure.
– Experience with Microsoft 365; knowledge of Pacer, LawToolBox for Office, and LeanLaw is a plus.

We love to help people learn and grow. But we don’t have the time for that right now. We need a paralegal with experience in Criminal Law and Procedure. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal handholding.
It is a part-time position where you are expected to manage a caseload, but with the potential to become a full-time position in three to six months. You are expected to work 20 to 30 hours per week. The range of pay will begin between $18.00 and $30.00 per hour based on experience, with opportunities for increases and for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability.
Our office is based in Cibolo, Texas, but the position is fully remote. We are a 100% virtual firm. A candidate based in Central Texas is preferred but not required.
